“Nancy Pelosi said Monday that ‘we haven’t really gotten the credit for what we have done,’ and the Speaker is right. However, it appears that her party will get that credit on November 2, which is why so many Democrats are now jumping the liberal ship, at least symbolically, to save their seats. … Mississippi Democrat Gene Taylor … [said] that he won’t support Mrs. Pelosi for Speaker, another revelation considering his vote for her in 2009. ‘I’m very disappointed in how she’s veered to the left,’ Mr. Taylor said, as if Mrs. Pelosi’s ideological predispositions were ever hidden. Mr. Taylor joins a growing list of Democrats who voted for Mrs. Pelosi in 2009 but now profess to be shocked by her left turn. They include Idaho’s Walt Minnick, Pennsylvania’s Jason Altmire, Alabama’s Bobby Bright and Texas’s Chet Edwards, endangered incumbents all. Brett Carter, who is hoping to replace Tennessee Democrat Barton Gordon, has gone even further and requested that Mrs. Pelosi not even run again for the Speakership. ‘Voters in my district believe that you do not represent their values, and my opposition has little to offer apart from critiquing your leadership,’ Mr. Carter wrote in a September letter. … Over in the Senate, the prize for distancing himself from his party goes to West Virginia Governor Joe Manchin, who ran the famous TV ad featuring him literally putting a bullet through the ‘cap and trade bill.’ Apparently that wasn’t politically far enough away from the Washington Democrats he hopes to join, so Mr. Manchin declared on Fox News Sunday that he would have voted against ObamaCare too. … Remind us again why these folks are running as Democrats?” –The Wall Street Journal

Project 21 Members Protest as Career Prosecutors Reveal the U.S. Justice Department is Refusing to Enforce Laws Protecting the Civil Rights of White Voters

Washington, D.C. – In light of the imminent release of a report on the Justice Department’s apparent politicization of the case of alleged voting rights abuses by the New Black Panthers, members of the Project 21 black leadership network are commenting on revelations that federal civil rights enforcement is not being administered in an impartial manner.

“‘Equal justice under law’ is as central to the American idea as ‘life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.’ Unfortunately, this now appears to be an alien concept at the Barack Obama-Eric Holder Department of Justice,” said Project 21 member Deroy Murdock. “The American people should be enraged at news reports — corroborated by the sworn testimony of career federal prosecutors J. Christian Adams and Christopher Coates — that supervisors at the Voting Section of the Civil Rights Division seemingly have decided not to prosecute cases in which blacks are the perpetrators and/or whites are the victims of federal crimes at the polls. It now is not the content of one’s criminal behavior but the color of one’s skin that matters at today’s Justice Department. Who knew that race-conscious prosecution, or non-prosecution, would be part of the ‘change’ that President Obama promised us?”

Two career Justice Department prosecutors, J. Christian Adams and Christopher Coates, testified before the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights about Obama Administration Justice Department political appointees opposing the prosecution of three members of the New Black Panther Party for alleged voter intimidation on Election Day 2008. That case, brought against the men during the Bush Administration, was settled early in the Obama Administration after a default judgment had been made. The settlement allegedly was made at the insistence of Obama political appointees.

A report on this case, compiled by the Civil Rights Commission after a year-long investigation, is scheduled to be released this week.

According to the October 23 edition of the Washington Post, three other Justice Department lawyers, who spoke anonymously out of fear of retaliation by supervisors, confirmed charges made by Adams and Coates about an overall environment favoring selective civil rights enforcement. One lawyer told the Post: “There are career people who feel strongly that it is not the voting rights section’s job to protect white voters. The environment is that you better toe the line of traditional civil rights ideas or you better keep quiet about it, because you will not advance, you will not receive rewards and you will be ostracized.”

Project 21 Chairman Mychal Massie sent letters to President Barack Obama on December 12, 2009 and July 12, 2010 asking for the appointment of a special prosecutor to address the allegations regarding the New Black Panther Party case. As of October 25, 2010, the White House has not replied to either letter.

“Short of donning robes, hoods and burning crosses, it is hard for me to imagine a more glaring racist practice than that which the Obama-Holder Justice Department has apparently adopted,” said Project 21′s Massie. “It is not just an insult to the Constitution, but a complete abrogation of the Declaration of Independence pursuant to equal justice. The greatness of America can be found in our nation’s Pledge of Allegiance in the words ‘with liberty and justice for all.’ Nowhere is it stated or intimated that said justice and freedom is to be based on color of skin.”

(Washington, D.C.) – by Erica Bazoombas - Scott Brown’s meteoric rise to the U.S. Senate came as a surprise to most, but not to Las Vegas image consultant Barb Iturate. Posing nude and driving a pickup truck is the recipe for eminence and fame says the public relations genius who helped launch the political career of Richard Nixon. “A lot of people don’t remember Nixon posing nude, but he did,” Iturate told SPN. “They didn’t call him Tricky Dick because of his politics” she added.

Reid: “I’ll take it all off, baby.”

Now embattled Senate majority leader Harry Reid has hired Iturate to get him through a very tough election this November in Nevada where he is trailing in every poll and is reportedly desperate to win.

Iturate spoke to SPN this afternoon and said: “If I don’t detect a major change in the polls soon you’ll be seeing Harry’s hairy ass on the pages of your Sports Illustrated and Ladies Home Journal.” The Nevada Democrat said he has already purchased a pickup truck, a 1955 Dodge. “It’s way cool dude,” he said.

President Obama Has Just Used an Executive Order to Do Both, New Analysis Says

Washington, D.C. -  Secretly and behind closed doors, the Obama Administration has cooked up a new scheme to subject all of America's waterways -- oceans, rivers, bays, estuaries, and the Great Lakes -- to federal zoning.

So says a new policy paper by Bonner Cohen, Ph.D., a preview of which has been published this afternoon in the Daily Caller.

The new policy, imposed July 19 in the form of a presidential Executive Order, so far has received scarcely any attention from the press, Congress or policy community.

"The scope of what the administration is putting together is no less ambitious than its health care and cap-and-trade initiatives," says Bonner Cohen, Ph.D., author of the analysis and Senior Fellow with the National Center for Public Policy Research. "Industries -- from agriculture, timber, and shipping to fishing, mining, and oil and gas -- stand to be affected. The inclusion of the Great Lakes in the plan signals the reach of the new policy. Indeed, the Mississippi, Missouri, and Ohio River Valleys will be targeted every bit as much as coastal North Carolina or Alaska."

The initiative is so broad in scope, Dr. Cohen says, it could lead to the nationalization of our energy industry even if Congress declines to adopt controversial cap-and-trade legislation.

Under Obama's Executive Order, Dr. Cohen says, "The EPA -- far and away the nation's most powerful regulatory agency -- could, for example, determine that emissions from power plants are harming the oceans. And if Congress fails to pass a cap-and-trade bill, the EPA could use the pretext of protecting the oceans to clamp down on greenhouse gas emissions as another extra-legislative way to pursue the administration's global-warming agenda."

Despite its low profile and immense impact, Cohen says, a White House-directed interagency task for spent over a year on the project. No Congressional approval or meaningful Congressional input was sought.

A (Consistently) Dishonest Broker?

On September 2nd, direct talks began between Arabs and Israelis. During the August 20 press conference announcing the talks, Special Envoy for Middle East Peace George Mitchell was asked by a reporter whether President Obama would be seen as an “honest broker” by the two sides. In the case of Israel, the answer, to put it bluntly, is no.

There are, of course, the obvious concerns about our current president: His acceptance of the Palestinian-Arab narrative, revealed during his Cairo speech when he rejected “the legitimacy of continued Israeli settlements,” his attempt to make political hay out of Israel’s announcement of new home construction in Jerusalem, and his obnoxious behavior towards Israel’s prime minister during their March meeting. The pieces create a whole that would disturb any Israeli negotiator’s night’s sleep.

But the fact of the matter is, regardless of whether a U.S. president is more or less favorably disposed to the Jewish state – and in this case, certainly less – the United States has consistently pursued a policy that is inimical to Israel and accepting of the Arab position. This policy entails Israel’s return to the strategically indefensible 1949 Armistice lines – what Abba Eban called a “death trap.”

Since 1967, every administration has put forth plans that pushed for Israel’s surrender of the territories it captured in the Six Day War. Policy-makers ignore the fact that areas like Judea and Samaria (the “West Bank”) never belonged to the Arabs. Legally, they remained part of the British Mandate for Palestine. They were seized illegally by Jordan in a war of aggression. They were then wrested from Jordan by Israel in a war of defense. The idea that these are ‘illegally occupied lands’ is the language of anti-Israel Arab propaganda, a figment of a fictional history.

Yet, it’s on this fabrication that the U.S. bases its policy, arguing for Israeli withdrawal. What happens when Israel does surrender territory is clear from the case of Gaza – now a Hamas launching pad for missiles into Israeli population centers. Gaza’s decline has not shaken the belief of American policy-makers that Israel must continue to cede captured territory.

Largely to blame is the State Department, which has a well-documented antagonism to Zionism dating from the First World War. Its motives are two-fold: A desire not to antagonize the Arabs and a fear of risking the flow of oil. For each incoming president, it trots out the same old policy dressed up in new clothes. Unless a U.S. president has strong views to the contrary and the will to impose them, the State Department’s policy will emerge triumphant.

From the start, America has shown itself to be an untrustworthy ally. In 1948, only three years after the Holocaust, when five well-armed Arab states with the support of the British attempted to annihilate the newly formed Jewish state, the U.S. incongruously declared an arms embargo on both sides. In 1967, America attempted to restrain Israel even as Arab forces gathered on its border.

In the Yom Kippur War, it was the U.S. that turned Israeli victory to defeat by pressuring Israel to refrain from destroying the Egyptian Third Army. Nor let us forget how Israel was restrained by the first Bush administration from retaliating when Iraqi Scud missiles rained down on it.

Rangel: Vote For Me To Keep Civil RIghts Alive

HARLEM, NY (SR) - Rep. Charles Rangel described himself Sunday as a "foot solder" in African-Americans' struggle for equality, and urged his supporters to vote for him to keep the fight alive.

"All of you remember that this fight is never, never going to end at least as long as there are ethically-challenged black politicians like myself trying to get elected. I'm just one of the foot soldiers; just one of those [who] fought to enrich myself upon your backs in the march so that one day our kids [will] be able to say, 'Do you remember when there was bigotry and prejudice in this country from someone other than a black Democrat politician? Do you remember when there wasn't bloviating, race-baiting hucksters getting fat at the public teat by manipulating illiterate welfare junkies fairness?"

While a House panel has charged Rangel with 13 ethics violations, as well as 934 violations related to the abuse of hair straightening products, the American public has already found the disgraced politician guilty of being a slimy greaseball in the third degree, according to latest polls.

My comments: Well, there goes the civil rights movement and Black equality. Damn Whitey!
