Our Live Webcast of Amnesty Votes Wed — Today’s Update
Email from Roy Beck, President, NumbersUSA
Come To Our Office Tomorrow (VIA LIVE WEBCAST)
And Join Us As We Watch, Comment
And Analyze the House & Senate Amnesty Votes
YOU ALL HAD A GREAT DAY OF ACTIVISM TODAY.
YOU HAVE THE OPEN-BORDERS FOLKS ON THE RUN.
Action: Join our live webcast.
When the debates, arcane parliamentary maneuvers and voting start tomorrow, join our NumbersUSA staff in our conference room and watch with us.
The live streaming from our conference room will be on our home page:
We'll be doing what we always do when immigration comes to the floor for a vote -- anxiously gathering to watch how Congress responds to our days, weeks and months of mobilizing the grassroots. And discussing and arguing over what each detail means.
Nothing fancy or formal. Just turning the cameras on our staff session. But after having you in our conference room for 10 hours on Election Night, we thought you might like to join us again for this occasion.
We'll send you an email perhaps an hour before we go live. It is possible that we won't know when the debate will start until just a half-hour before.
It sounds like the House debate could start no earlier than 1 p.m. Wednesday. And then we'll turn the cameras on again when the Senate starts its debate. That is now scheduled for after 3:30 p.m. At the moment, 10 years of efforts to pass an amnesty could be resolved in just a few hours tomorrow afternoon.
Action: PHONE.
Keep phoning the target congressional office Wednesday until the votes are taken.
You have the email with the list of targets for your own particular region of the country that I sent earlier today. Keep working on that list.
You know that we never advocate letting up the pressure in any way until we have won. But our reports from the Hill suggest that your torrent of faxes and phone calls helped create great turmoil today among those trying to pass the DREAM Act amnesty.
House amnesty leaders are desperately seeking some kind of Hail Mary pass to pull out a last-minute victory.
They apparently still can't persuade 218 Representatives to vote YES on the DREAM amnesty, so they are talking about combining it with the AgJobs amnesty for a few million illegal aliens who can claim some past agricultural work. Their thought is that they can attract some extra Republicans who won't be willing to vote against something that big agri-business wants.
Of course, their plan would also create an amnesty that is twice the size to attract politicians who are squeamish about DREAM being too big.
Your phone calls Wednesday need to keep everybody in Congress as squeamish as possible.
Action: FAX.
Be sure you have sent all the faxes posted on your customized Action Board:
www.NumbersUSA.com/actionbuffet
I apologize for how sluggish our website was today for many of you. We are going to have to expand our capacities, but what a great problem to have so many Americans trying to take action against a bill that would be sure to enlarge by millions the number of future illegal aliens and of additional workers competing against unemployed Americans within what everybody agrees will be a job shortage for many years to come.
Take a look at my new blog for extra ammunition in your faxes and phone calls.
THANKS FOR ALL OF YOUR HARD WORK.
MAYBE WE CAN END THESE AMNESTY THREATS ONCE AND FOR ALL TOMORROW!

Reid Stuffs Defense Bill
WASHINGTON DC (SR) - Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid said he will add the DREAM Act, a highly unpopular and controversial immigration measure offering citizenship to some illegal immigrants, to an upcoming defense policy bill.
DREAM is an acronym for Don't Remove Ethnic Alien Morons.
Reid, who is fighting for his political life, called the DREAM Act "really important, especially for those illegal aliens of voting age living in Nevada."
Reid made the announcement at a Washington DC lowrider convention.
My comments: This is the kind of stuff we're not going to miss much when you're out of office, you miserable self-serving pinhead!

Amnesty Vote Tues – Send Free Faxes Now To Oppose
ACTION: Click here to find free faxes to send to your Senators to urge them to vote down any amnesty: www.numbersusa.com/actionbuffet
It appears that the vote tomorrow will be very close. Senators are
being lobbied furiously by the pro-amnesty forces. They and their staffs
need to hear from you. The tens of thousands of faxes that we process
for voters tonight and tomorrow could actually make the difference if
they help influence the decision of even one or two Senators.
Click here to read about the DREAM Act amnesty that Senate leaders are trying to attach to the Defense Authorization bill.
PLEASE DON’T DELAY. SEND THE FAXES NOW.
THANKS,

TRUE LABOR DAY HEROES
By Roy Beck
In the best spirit of Labor Day, these 50 Members have spent the last two years standing up for the most vulnerable of all American workers – the unemployed.
They not only resisted major pressures to increase the flow of foreign labor, they also attempted to reduce immigration quotas (75,000 working-age immigrants every MONTH).
And they repeatedly tried to eliminate the job magnet for illegal immigration and to push the 7 million non-agricultural illegal workers out of their jobs to make room for some of the 22 million Americans who want a job but can’t find one.
A lot of politicians will stand up on Labor Day and claim they are the friends of jobless Americans. But most of them have supported policies that give out more work permits to foreign workers each month than the economy is creating new jobs.
The 50 Members of Congress on this list are different. They put jobless Americans and their suffering families ahead of the demands of corporate lobbyists seeking cheap labor for their unpatriotic clients.
EVERY POLITICIAN ON THIS LIST . . . .
- . . . . is asking voters to return him/her to Congress next year (I’m excluding Members from the list who aren’t facing elections this year)
- . . . . has a record over the last two years of the Jobs Depression of trying to reduce the number of foreign workers given permission to hold jobs instead of Americans
- . . . . earned a NumbersUSA immigration-reduction grade of A+, A or A-minus for committee votes, floor votes and bill co-sponsorships in this Congress that stopped increases in foreign labor and sought to reduce the volume.

This list is part of NumbersUSA’s DEFENDERS & DESERTERS of JOBLESS AMERICANS recognition efforts.
On Friday, we named the TOP 50 DESERTERS of JOBLESS AMERICANS. You can look at the list and join the discussion at: http://www.numbersusa.com/content/node/8107
The discussion is lively because so many people can’t believe that their Senator or Representative isn’t on the list of the 50 worst. Please note the criteria used for picking 50 Members to highlight out of more than 120 who earned F-minus grades over the last two years.
In the 14 years that we have been rating Members of Congress, I don’t think we have ever had so many Members who have absolutely turned their backs on the desires of unemployed Americans to get a job. To get the “Worst” list down to 50, we had to limit it to the F-minus Members who magnified their assault on jobless Americans through leadership positions in Congress.
The horror and magnitude of so many politicans favoring high foreign labor during a time of incredible unemployment just makes the pro-worker efforts of the people on the 50 BEST DEFENDERS list even more special.
You can look up the full immigration records of all Members of Congress at our www.CongressGrades.org
